Expectations:
You will research your topic using the search skills you've been taught.
- You should use at least 3 different resources to find your information (websites, encyclopedias, or databases).
- You will include a bibliography at the bottom of your information page (Noodle Tools). The resources you used should be of the highest quality because you used the PACD system to evaluate them.
- You will not plagiarized your information (NO copy/pasting).
- All pictures and graphics will come from legal sources (Flickr creative commons or Google Images, usage license).
Each website will have at least 3 pages. The content of which comes from your research.
- The Home page introduces your topic and serves as a teaser to get people interested in staying.
- The About page tells about the creator of the site and answers the following questions, "Who are you?" "Why are you qualified to create this site?" You should also include a picture of yourself or an avatar that represents you. You can create your own avatar from one of these sites.
- The third page should contain the bulk of your content. If it's a fan site for someone famous, it should include information about their lives and a link to some picture of them. Remember, you cannot post pictures that are not your own. Citation does not equal permission!!! If your website it informational, your third page should contain more details about your topic. You will include a bibliography on this page that shows all of your sources you used to find the information and graphics.
- Somewhere on your site, you need to provide a contact number and email address, but since this is an assignment and not a real site, you will use the phone number 555-554-5543 and the email address [email protected].
- Creativity counts! This does NOT mean that you should use bright, flashy colors and fancy fonts all over your page! It involves selecting the right theme and using pictures, graphics and text in an interesting way. Check out some standout designs from Weebly by clicking here.
